I'm off on a three week adventure to visit the Fatherland and get a short taste of where my family comes from. A couple years back I said to myself, because no one was around at the time, that I wanted to visit Brasil before I turned a certain age (which happens to be occuring this August). So thanks to the help of my trusty travel partner and boyfriend, who really made this trip happen for me (a MILLION THANKS TO YOU), my backpack is packed and I'm ready to go. It's definitely going to be an adventure as I've never travelled with just a backpack before and only the essentials...OK honestly I managed to sneak a couple luxuries in there but not a lot.
Seeing as we're travelling such a distance it only makes sense to see as much of South America as humanly possible in three weeks. We'll be making stops in Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and Peru. Our plan is ambitious and I've got my fingers crossed that our transportation will all work out....planes, trains, automobiles, ferries, and maybe a donkey? First stop Toronto.....let the adventure begin.
